Frequently asked questions
Why is file 1 the bottom-right tile?
Instagram shows the newest post at the top-left. Posting bottom-right first puts that tile at the end of the nine-post block so the picture completes at the top.
What source size should I start with?
Use a 3240×3240 square when you want nine 1080-pixel tiles. A smaller source still works, but each tile becomes softer after Instagram compresses it again. Keep faces, logos, and important text away from the seams.
Do I need to publish all nine at once?
You do not have to post in one sitting, but the grid looks unfinished if other posts land between the tiles. Schedule or batch them as one block.
Does this upload my photos?
No. Preview, crop, slicing, and ZIP packaging all run in the browser tab. ImageSplit has no image upload API.
Grid Maker or this planner?
