Instagram carousel splitter

This is one swipe post, not a profile puzzle. Each export is a 4:5 portrait slide. Add them to a single carousel from left to right. Default is four slides.

What is Carousel Splitter?

Carousel Splitter starts with one wide image and cuts it into matched portrait panels. The crop and order are designed for one swipeable post rather than a set of unrelated images.

How it works

Make a seamless 4:5 carousel

  1. 1

    Start with a wide frame

Banners, editorial strips, and designed carousels already flow left to right. A square profile puzzle belongs on Grid Maker instead.

  2. 2

Set the slide count and crop

The combined ratio is 4:5 times the number of slides. Nudge the crop off faces and type so nothing sits on a cut.

  3. 3

    Post as one carousel

Upload the ZIP contents in order inside a single post. The first slide is the hook in the feed.

Tips before you download

Leave room at seams

Do not place a face, price, or headline where two slides meet unless the break is intentional.

Use a wide original

A source image wider than the final carousel will give you more room to crop.

Publish in sequence

Keep exported slides in their numbered order when adding them to the Instagram composer.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the correct upload order?

Left to right inside one carousel post: file 1, then 2, then 3. Do not reverse the set. That order is the opposite of a profile grid.

How is this different from the grid maker?

The grid maker creates separate profile posts. This tool creates slides for a single swipeable post, already cropped to 4:5. Panorama splitter is the same 4:5 strip aimed at landscapes, defaulting to three slides.

How many slides should I use?

3–5 is enough for most stories. Use 6–10 only when the artwork actually needs the length. More slides make a wider source and thinner type.

Does this upload my photos?

No. Preview, crop, slicing, and ZIP packaging all run in the browser tab. ImageSplit has no image upload API.
