Frequently asked questions
2×3 or 3×2?
2×3 is two rows of three, which matches an Instagram profile row pair. 3×2 is taller and better for posters or storyboards. Numbers still run left to right, top to bottom.
Will six tiles look sharp?
Each piece is one sixth of the source. A 3000×2000 photo becomes six modest tiles; a 6000-pixel master still looks crisp on a phone. Compress less, not more, before you cut.
Is this an Instagram puzzle?
It can fill two profile rows, but files are numbered in reading order. For crop and upload order, use Grid Maker with the 2×3 template.
Are photos uploaded to a server?
No. ImageSplit reads the file in your browser, runs the work in a local worker, and downloads the result from memory. There is no upload API for your images.
