Prepare equal pieces for a post, a story sequence, or a design that continues across several tiles.
Nine equal tiles, locked to 3×3, numbered in reading order. Use this for a 3×3 print or a simple grid. For crop and a profile mockup, use Instagram Grid Maker.
100% private — processing happens entirely in your browser.
A fixed 3×3 tile set
For an Instagram profile puzzle with crop and reverse upload order, use Grid Maker.
Quick Templates
This page stays 3×3 so the download order remains simple.
Flexible image tiles
Split in 9 turns one source image into equal, numbered files without sending the image to a server. Use it when the destination needs a predictable grid rather than a platform-specific crop.
How it works
A square source keeps every tile even. Non-square images are sliced as-is, with no crop.
The overlay shows every seam before you export. There is no custom grid on this page.
File 1 is top-left. For an Instagram profile puzzle, switch to Grid Maker rather than posting 9 first from this ZIP.
Made for real projects
Prepare equal pieces for a post, a story sequence, or a design that continues across several tiles.
Create individual image tiles for a board, a wall, or a physical arrangement with a clear reading order.
Slice a source image into predictable regions for mockups, layouts, sprite-like assets, or hand-off files.
Why ImageSplit
The file is read and processed in the browser. There is no image upload queue or conversion account.
Start with a standard layout, then choose a custom grid from 1×1 through 10×10 when the project needs it.
Tiles are numbered left to right and top to bottom so the next step stays organized.
Get better results
Keep faces, logos, and headlines away from a seam whenever the artwork needs to read as one image.
A larger grid makes each individual tile smaller. Use a high-resolution original for dense layouts.
Use Grid Maker for Instagram upload order and Split to PDF for paper size, overlap, and assembly marks.

Reading order: top-left is file 1, bottom-right is file 9. That is the opposite of Instagram’s newest-first profile. If you will post a profile puzzle, export from Grid Maker instead of reversing these files by hand.
A 3240×3240 square gives nine 1080 tiles. Smaller files still split, but each piece will look softer.
This page is a straight 3×3 cut with no crop. Grid Maker adds a square crop, a 3-column profile preview, and upload numbering. The 3×3 planner is the same Instagram numbering locked to nine posts.
No. ImageSplit reads the file in your browser, runs the work in a local worker, and downloads the result from memory. There is no upload API for your images.
